How To Reconnect Your Marketplaces And Reinstall Our Chrome Extension
In order to work, Vendoo needs to be connected to the marketplaces you use to sell your inventory. If you ever need to change or add a connection, you can do so using our marketplace connections tab in the settings menu.
How To Find Marketplace Connections
Log into your Vendoo account. On the left-hand side of the main Vendoo page, you will see a vertical orange box with several icons. The bottom icon looks like a gear. Click on this gear icon to access your Vendoo settings.
The first thing you will see on the settings page is your basic account preferences. At the top of the page, however, you will notice several tabs. Select the tab that says “Marketplace Connections,” as shown in the photo below.
On the Marketplace tab, you can see what version of our Chrome extension you have installed. You can also see all of our marketplaces. Each one will show you if you are connected or not.
Note: You can have multiple accounts on a platform such as eBay or Poshmark and still use Vendoo. You will simply need to change your marketplace connections when you want to work in a specific account you own.
Connect A New Marketplace
If you are setting up a marketplace for the first time, click on the pink “connect” button. You will be guided through the steps to connect this new marketplace, which will require your login credentials or it may be required that you log into your account in a new tab.
To Disconnect Or Reconnect A Marketplace
You will also see buttons that allow you to “disconnect” from a marketplace or “reconnect” to a marketplace. This allows you to control your marketplace connections, switch to a different account, or update them if you’ve made changes.
How To Reinstall Our Chrome Extension
When a new version of our Chrome extension is available, you will see in-app messaging that will alert you that it is time to update. This message will include a direct link to our Google Chrome extension page so that you can start the process. You can also access the Chrome extension download page anytime using this link.
First, you will need to remove the existing extension by clicking on the blue button that says “remove from Chrome.” This will not interrupt your Vendoo service or impact your stored data in any way. It is safe to click the “remove from Chrome button.” Chrome will remove the extension in a matter of seconds. The blue button will be replaced with an “install” button. Simply click this button and Chrome will install the latest version of our extension.
Note: Any time there is a major feature update or you update to a new version of our extension, it is a good idea to go back to your Vendoo account and do what is called a “hard refresh” of the browser. A hard refresh will delete any lingering data connected to the old version. Here is how to perform a hard refresh:
- Windows users: hold down Ctrl and then press F5 on your keyboard.
- Mac users: hold down Cmd and Shift and then press R on your keyboard.
